Giacomini S.p.A. was born more than 50 years ago as a small metal-mechanical company producing brass valves for hydro-thermo-sanitary applications, today is a leader group in the industry. It occupies more than 1000 employees in all, exporting about 80% of its production in more than 100 countries all over the world. It has 3 production plants, all located in Italy, and 12 branches in the world. In addition to the core business of brass, rough, chrome plated and nickel plated, the company, clearly Customer oriented, offers to the market a wide range of pipes and fittings made of plastic materials and radiant systems of heating and cooling for building plant engineering. The catalogue is completed by the thermoregulation package, heat metering systems, and recovery systems of solar energy (solar thermal system).

The products comply with the most severe international standards, and guarantee high quality, innovation and technology contents. The objective is to provide for the market “a zero emission house”, or rather environmentally friendly. Giacomini in particular, invests on the research of energy solutions of lower and lower environmental impact, for the renewable sources exploitation (sun, water) as regards to the traditional ones (oil, methane), and for the emission control (CO2, NOx).

At the same time the company commits itself to maintain the promise of an Italian production, without choosing to delocalize it in “low cost” countries, which are far-away not only from a geographical point of view but also regarding the approach to work and to the defence of health and safety, to the environment defence for the prevention of the pollution, in the product quality.

Giacomini commits itself for producing “Made in Italy” by fully respecting the applicable legal prescriptions and the other eventual applicable requirements.

Giacomini is deeply tied to the territory, in particular to Orta’s Lake and to its people, where two of its three production plants are located, because its history and its fortune are from this place. Giacomini S.p.A. counts on a research and development department, a design staff, forefront laboratories, sale and after-sale services, and it favours the internalization of the largest part of the activities, or it chooses to join and properly form “the home forces”, or rather its workers.

The company has a Quality Management system that is consolidated and certified since years according to UNI EN ISO 9001 standard and the most recent Management Systems for Safety and Environment, that Giacomini commits itself to certify as soon as possible, respectively according to OHSAS 18001 and UNI EN ISO 14001 standards.

The company Management is conscious that a so prestigious objective can be reached only with the engagement and active participation of all, everybody in proportion to the roles and the responsibilities that occupies in the company.

World leaders in development of heating, cooling and sanitary distribution systems GIACOQEST starts from the experience of practical and highly demanding markets and from the research carried out by Giacomini S.p.A. This system will leave a mark in the way the installations are made.

Giacoqest System
Is the answer to the needs of every plumber.

1) Allowing easy installations.
2) The technical innovations are useful provided that they are easy to be used.
3) Providing quick installations.
4) Time is money also when it comes to the point of making a complete installation.
5) Reduced Water Hammer.
6) Freeze Damage Resistance.
7) Prevention of Lime & Mineral Build-up.
8) Elimination of Electrolysis (that causes pin holes in metallic pipes).
9) No deterioration from low pH levels found in many wells.
10) Requires less fittings, reducing potential for installation errors.
11) It’s light weight for easy handling.
12) Offering pipes in the most common sizes familiar to every plumber.

In a so exigent scene, giacoklima radiant ceiling presents itself as a simple, rational and innovative solution for the building air conditioning, able to satisfy at its best’s the most different requirements; a system capitalizing Giacomini’s long experience and the wellestablished know-how in the manufacture of components and systems for heating and conditioning distribution. For the thermal exchange with the room, the radiant ceiling exploits the radiation transmission, therefore it brings to temperature the casing instead of the air and the only convective effect is that natural. This way there are no perceivable draughts and there is no dust circulation. The large surface of the radiant false ceiling permits a high thermal energy exchange between active surfaces and the room, maintaining very limited temperature differences. With an only system, it is possible heating and cooling buildings, but the system is invisible, as it is integrated into the metallic false ceiling, available in various modules, colours and superficial finishings.

The solar thermal system is becoming more and more popular at worldwide level. From one side, the fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas increase their price and decrease in availability; from the other side, there is a higher consciousness of the environmental emergency, that force to think over our own behaviours and adopt more sustainable choices. The agreement of reduction of the gas emissions responsible of the greenhouse effect assumed in the Kyoto protocol, the new address impressed by the European Union with the EPBD Directive (91/2002/CE) about the energy efficiency in buildings and the recent engagement of big countries in favour of technologies more respectful of the environment, have brought the solar technology into fashion. With a reasonable investment and short payback times, the solar thermal system convinces more and more the designers, installers and users that can rely on a safe, free and inexhaustible energy source: the sun.
